What does it look like to take your business from success to significance? For Episode 3 of The Corridor Podcast I sat down with Josh Buckly, the Chief Marketing Officer for Control Air. They are a huge commercial Mechanical Contracting firm that services major accounts across California. They are headquartered right here in The Corridor, on La Palma Ave between Imperial and Lakeview. What initially drew me to them was a story I heard about a hydroponic farm they built for the community as a way to serve those in need in the area. However, what I learned was even more impressive than I had anticipated. It started with a simple desire of the owners, Stan and Ken Ellis, to give back to the community that had made their company so successful, but it grew into so much more. An outreach program that not only feeds, educates and empowers locals in need, but also reaches beyond borders across the globe to make significant and often lifesaving services available to those in extreme poverty.
