Eureka! you found it.
There are a lot of great places to grab a pie in The Corridor. And I’m not here to say any one is better than another, but there is one place that you need to check out. The Eureka Pizza Company, on Imperial across from Polly’s Pies, is a wonderful addition to the dining landscape of our community. Surrounded by images and furniture straight from the Alaskan coast you’re drawn into a cozy atmosphere with great food and warm smiles.
In episode 6 of the podcast I interviewed Steve Bangos, the owner of Eureka Pizza and we talk about his journey from Hollywood to the frozen north, back down to the Land of Gracious living and everything he brought back with him. Everything there is 100% handcrafted and stone fired. Steve and his wife Patricia mix a taste of his Greek heritage, New York style pies, and the authentic flavors of the Alaskan coast. They even have a fantastic selection of IPA’s from the Alaskan Brewing Company.
Plan on spending some time taking in the atmosphere and the company of the amazing staff, it’s not fast food. Steve and Patricia have poured their hearts into every detail, every recipe, every photo, every surface of the restaurant and it truly is an extension of their home. From their triple cheese blend of Grande, Provolone and Mozzarella craft pizzas, to their Alfredo sauce pies, to wings and Gyros, and even gluten-free options, there is something here for everyone. You need to check them out if you haven’t already. EUREKA, you found it!
